      Pros

      In theory, unlimited PTO should be great . In practice, I used it mostly for sick days after I got Covid vaccine side effects. Grateful that they were hiring during the pandemic when everyone else was getting rid of people. One of the rare places that had a 401 k match

      Cons

      My salary raise in 2021 was 1.5 percent. Compare that with the current inflation rate. I am a senior person who is clearly doing the job below my capabilities (and with the below market rate pay). Zero opportunity for advancement on my team so I feel like I’m stuck . However , for a variety of reasons, including personal and the pandemic , I won’t move on from this company and be part of the Great Resignation The employee stock plan was rolled out haphazardly and at the last moment. There was so confusion, that I didn’t partyin it in 2021.

      Pros

      The pros are really the memories of an independent Medidata and some of the cultural and legacy attributes that still exist but are waning over time. Pay is competitive though long term comp / incentive comp is no where near what it used to be. The company has always embraced remote work when it made sense, presuming that will continue beyond the pandemic.

      Cons

      The acquisition and integration to a much larger company has not been smooth, the good culture that made Medidata fun to work for and exciting is gone into the ether. New Leadership is not inspiring and the strategy is quite unclear. Some of this is inevitable when there is an acquisition but i miss the pre- acquisition days and Strategy . Benefits have declined since the acquisition, from health insurance to a recently added ESOP which is far more limited and complicated. Chances for advancement seem few and far between. There isnt organic opportunities anymore in my view and a lot of people have left.

      comps and benefits, non senior leadership people

      Cons

      senior leadership has no clue what they are doing, offshoring all resources. Just laid off over 70 people, even hires from last summer 2020!!
