Good pay and benefits, industry leading products.

Cons

Medidata is a sink or swim company. You walk right in and are thrown in the deep end of the pool, and if you sink, you sink, you are pretty much left on your own to do your job without much help, and if you don't get results quickly, you are gone. If you require guidance or a long runway, this might not be the best place for you.

Excellent Salary and benefits. The culture used to be great company wide.

Cons

Medidata got bought out by Dessault Systems. The overall culture changed and there were massive lay offs and team re-orgs. They eliminated the PMO office and governance and made PMO managers absolute bosses reporting into engineering directors. If your manager is good then your life is good and if your manager is psychotic then you're on your own because no one will have your back.

Pros

Great work/life balance. Really nice people. Needs an internal technology refactor to become current. Founders still with company after buyout, for now. Strong ethics and company support for BRGs and DEI efforts.

Cons

Way, way, way, way ,way too much management. Indecipherable micro-level titles with no clear responsibilities - most managers are desperately trying to stay relevant, justify their position, and suck up to their superiors. Constant re-orgs indicate that upper management has zero clue what they're doing. Main plan is to shed expense via offshoring and layoffs. Pay scale is significantly lower than industry averages for tech and for life science.
