You are right, we CAN do better - and we're working on it! The business hired a new Head of People and Culture in April, and then created the role of Manager, People and Growth (that's me, I joined mid-June!) expressly to address some of the issues you mention above. As a current employee, I am hoping you are starting to feel things change for the positive since writing this review. We just completed an Employee Survey globally and are in the process of analyzing the results to see where we should concentrate our efforts to improve things and there are already plans in place, so don't give up yet! Now, as for "fake reviews"...trust me, if we were going to write fake reviews about working here (and for the record, we wouldn't), we'd make them positive ones! They're pretty scarce on here at the moment but we're hoping that'll change soon too. ;) -Aimée

Pros

There are none besides my co-workers who were amazing.

Cons

The management was horrible. It's a family business with very small-time thinking. They continuously decreased our commissions as we sold more and they would increase our targets.

OUCH! Well, that hurts! First, the positive - you are 100% right in that your co-workers are amazing. We are lucky to have such a terrific, hard-working and fun sales team! As you well know, working in sales is a bit of a roller-coaster ride; the ups and downs are part of the game - when sales are great, everything's great. When sales are tough, things are a little harder. Can we do better at managing these peaks and troughs? Sure! As for increasing targets, that's normal practice and is a sign that the team (and therefore, the business) is doing well - perhaps it's in the communication of why they are changing that could be improved. We're on it! I joined the organization mid-June in a newly created role of People and Growth Manager (which in itself demonstrates that Medisca is investing in its people and believes in the need to evolve and grow). My team and I have been working with various teams across the business, including Sales, to see what improvements we can make to processes, systems, structures and tools and what support we can provide to help everyone operate at their best. Change doesn't happen overnight, but I'm hoping the current team is starting to feel some improvements; our recent employee survey results seems to indicate so! -Aimée
