Pros

You will learn how to be a sales person (cold call, build relationships, etc.) You will find your work ethic (11 hours per day and some weekends) Sales bootcamp

Cons

Micro managed to the point of suffocation - they do not trust that their employees are doing their jobs. Every call, email, contact has to be recorded in the CRM system and discussed in a weekly meeting Made to feel guilty when requesting time off You will never receive a raise (unless you become a DBO). Recruiters make 35k and Sales people make 35k - plus commission. That's it. The structure of the organization makes it darn near impossible to break 100k with commission. Unpredictable and generally negative leadership

Pros

The people are great. Medix does a decent job of hiring young college grads. If it wasn't for the people in the organization, I would have left in a week. The work is enjoyable and challenging but only if managed appropriately. The benefits are decent as well.

Cons

The organization has so much potential but fails to notice it. The overall management style is the organization's biggest downfall. The family who runs the company fails to show a lack of appreciation for anything besides their bank statements. The pay is terrible. The hours are even worst. The upper management must make a fortune off these young college grads who work 60 hours week. It really is "modern day slavery." Micromanagement does not help the cause either. It is severely frowned upon if you miss a day of work. There is no structure for growth and the turnover rate is very high. I was lied to in my interview and I'm lucky I was able to find a job to get out of there.

Pros

Medix has really done a lot over the years to help me grow and prosper as a sales professional. I came here straight from college and since then have been given great tools and guidance to help foster and develop my skills. They have never given up on me here and always support me in my business decisions. Medix has always been a major advocate for personal development which has allowed me to become the successful sales person that I am today. After talking to my friends....it doesn't seem as though a lot of organizations value that, so I'm grateful that Medix takes the time to invest in me. They've also developed a program called the Emerging Leaders Group. I was fortunate enough to have be inducted into this group a few months back. The purpose of this group is to give proven sales professionals extended training and development to take their career to the next level with a leadership role in the organization. Medix is growing quickly and needs leaders and its good that they value the importance of training and developing their talent. It's an honor to be a part of the group and extremely beneficial...especially for those of us who have yet to be in a management role. All in all, Medix is a great place to work. I've developed skills that will undoubtedly bring me lifelong success.

Cons

Working at Medix is definitely challenging....but isn't a good job supposed to be? The staffing industry can be very trying at times as your success depends on candidates performing well at their placement. This is not always the case so it can definitely wear a person down from time to time. If you don't like a challenge and take things to personally then this may not be the job for you...but if you like being pushed to always do your best and enjoy the crazy things that working in staffing will throw your way then I definitely recommend you giving it a try. It's a job unlike any others, is always interesting and will definitely keep you on your toes!
