Pros

Employee focused, good incentive pay, personally met CEO during training. All the employees seem to love their job and working for the credit union. A lot of people have been working there for 10 or more years. Like promoting within.

Cons

I went into this job with no prior banking experience. It is a lot to learn all at once (2 week training period), however, that being said, the trainer was amazing and added fun ways to learn. There are sales goals that are supposed to.be met, but they do not shove them down members throats like some banks. There is training that you have to complete while at a branch. Can be a bit difficult with a line of members. Expected to multitask while doing transactions.

Pros

Management is concerned about the professional development of every associate. Family atmosphere. Requirement of giving back to the community by participating in Community Events.

Cons

Many associates have the desire to be promoted throughout the company with a limited number of jobs for advancement. Can be competitive.
