      Ok place to work, but management not good at all.

      Pros

      12 hour shifts, full time compensation for working 3 twelve hour shifts. Ok, benefits. Get good PTO hours, spiritual days, etc. Not for profit

      Cons

      Huge corporation, management is a mouthpiece for doctors. No one listens to the employee. Employees don't have a word. Management is always changing and when you finally get a good manager, they don't stick around, they leave.. not sure what the inside reasons are for that.

      It's a good hospital with a collegial atmosphere.

      Pros

      It's a busy tertiary hospital and major referral center for stroke and trauma. We see complicated cases here so it's a great learning environment.

      Cons

      Like all hospitals, the management isn't the greatest. It's run by MBAs or former lower level practitioners who really don't understand the complexities of medicine which is frustrating as a physician. Also, the ancillary staff are not successfully incentivized so there is a high turn around we soon lose them once they gain enough experience.

      - Great people, for the most part. - Excellent infrastructure. - Opportunity for advancement and increased responsibility.

      Cons

      - Parking and cafeteria suck. - Poor work / family balance when on rotating shifts.
