Pros

Benifits are good , esp pharmacy.

Cons

Bluejay consultants ruined ER. Mandatory overtime consistantly without regard to personal life. ALWAYS 20-25 ED RN open positions posted. Last schedule with 200 open RN shifts. Cant run a Trauma center like that and be safe.

Thanks for leaving this review, but we think we may be talking about different health care systems. Our Mercy Health is located in the West Michigan region, and it appears you are reviewing a Mercy Health location in Missouri.

Pros

Most of the people there truly care about their work and want to help the mission of the organization. Employee's will put in the extra effort to make sure projects are rolled out on time. Work/life balance is good for the most part.

Cons

Hard to get open positions backed-filled in a timely manner, which puts additional strain on remaining co workers. Career paths do not exist, so be prepared to stay in the position you start in. Hard to correct repeating issues due to a lack of resources.

Disappointing.

Pros

Good place to start if you want to get into healthcare with no experience. Director level management is open to hearing ideas and grievances, but has no power to make changes.

Cons

The pay for pharmacy technicians is lousy. You get to compound medications, mix chemotherapy drugs, and help hostile nurses, for the incredible pay of $9/hr. From the director level down, there is so much discontent. Unfortunately, nothing can be done to make employees' experiences better bc VPs don't have healthcare experience and are as disconnected from reality as politicians. Sole focus from upper management is making budgets through workforce and salary restrictions, with no thought of process improvement, cutting cost by reducing waste, or employee engagement.
