Pros

Good people! Culture is very welcoming.

Cons

Lay-offs and "reduction in force" seems to be the norm each summer!

Pros

Pay is competitive and co-workers are great.

Cons

It's not about the patients or the employees, it's about the almighty dollar. Management is horrible.

Very good organization

Pros

Knows and lives its Mission. Opportunities for advancement. Nice balance between guidance and support for how to do your work; with autonomy and personal input into how it's done.

Cons

Can be long hours. Always a risk of being down-sized if you're in a non-clinical position (but that can apply to all healthcare organizations). Most salaries are mid- to low- market, unless you're a physician.
