Best Company to Work For

Pros

The one thing that stands out above all else is the company lives its core values. It starts with heart, and they put their people first. Our CEO is committed to offering employees a flexible work environment, DE&I initiatives, improving mental & physical health, prioritizing family, and cultivating an environment that supports work/life balance. They also think strategically and manage implementing change at a world class level. Initiatives are rolled out with a consistent message from the corporate executive teams down to every department in a way that creates buy-in, excitement, and consistency. They encourage personal and professional development supported by multiple platforms: LinkedIn Learning, Leadership Institute, Road to Mastery trainings for various disciplines, and more. Joining the Meritage Homes team has been the best professional decision I have made, and I would highly recommend this company to college grads and seasoned professionals as well as people outside of the construction industry.

Pros

Strategy from the top level is ahead of the curve compared to other public builders. Makes our company less susceptible to market shifts.

Cons

Turnover in division leadership has resulted in some inefficiencies but they are working to improve processes and communication.
