Pros

The benefits are much better than most companies in the area.

Cons

It is a fab shop which means it is dirty. If you are a welder or used to working in a fab shop then it is a normal atmosphere.

Pros

Thanks to 6+ decades of work and 3rd generation ownership, we're bigger than ever in complex structural steel and plate fabrication. I appreciate working in an atmosphere that I'm personally respected and valued for my experience and knowledge. I've been given the opportunity for both personal and professional growth. There is a strong focus on enhancing our employee experience; Merrill Steel offers a competitive wage and benefit packet, focus has been placed on reducing health care costs, offering flexible scheduling, expanding paid leave and providing strong retirement planning to name just a few. Merrill Steel is committed to supporting the community and often focuses initiatives around groups/organizations that are meaningful to employees and their families. There is continual reinvestment back into the company in both the office and shop from infrastructure to technology. Merrill Steel is simply a great place to work!

Cons

We build it BIG (literally) and with that are big demands NOT that this is a con, but the work that we do at Merrill Steel is intense, both physically and mentally challenging as well as demanding. The rewards on the other hand are even BIGGER.
