Pros

Aggressive company that bringing Fiber to many smaller communities that the major Fiber internet companies wouldn't even consider.

Cons

They are currently in the awkward phase between being a small/medium company and becoming a medium/large company. The GM still wants to be involved in EVERY aspect of the company which is becoming to large for him to do.

Pros

Company van, tools, and gas card

Cons

Where do I start? Metronet is a horrible company to work for. When I first started it was a good company. I looked forward going to work but now, I'm glad I quit! Pay is not even the national average. They don't care about their employees. Right now they are making their technicians work a mandatory 60 hours in another market. They are not paying for drive time from their house to the customers house that could be 2 hours away. The ladies in dispatch do what they can, but they get overwhelmed by the technicians, TTU, and business processing. If there are only 2 technicians left in Lafayette with contractors quitting left and right as well, that means something is wrong! Management has no clue! They are all concerned about making the all mighty dollar and not reinvesting in their employees. There's little or no room for anyone to move up in the company unless you know someone in management in Evansville. I truly believe lower management in certain cities care for their employees. The supervisors try and fight for raises but unless you can master their "Metric System," then there's no way of getting a raise. The daily quota is always set above 100% and they have a failed ETA system. Okay, my rant it over. All in all, do NOT work for this company!!!!!

Pros

The only pro is that they do pay you albeit not fairly, and not even close to compensating what they expect you to do.

Cons

Working here is like having your life controlled by a supervillian. Everyday plotting a new way to make your life miserable and cackling away. The employees are so mistreated entire teams quit, and the unfortunate fools that are stuck here are forced to work in those towns to cover the open spots. Right now we are on mandatory 60 hour work weeks. Expect to not work in the city you were hired in. You have to be at your first job at 8 am, and if that job is an hour away you required to be there at 8 regardless and wont get payed for the drive time. Dont expect annual raises. There is a flawed metric system in place that only sets you up to fail. Daily quota is constantly over 100% so expect to work very late hours. Management is a joke, making arbitrary rules and guidelines. Company motto: "You are expendable" And they make sure you know it.
