Pros

The coworkers and managers were great. They kept the team together.

Cons

The CEO and COO are extremely two faced and do not care about their team members in the least. They only care about their image and keeping their employees on a tight leash by making you recite a “promise” almost like the Pledge of Allegiance to their company and customers... every morning. The HR department follows behind them. They do NOT care if something happens to you. They will pretend to be concerned, then turn the situation around and point the finger at you. The higher ups in the company do NOT have your back. No matter how much you bust your butt working at a minimum $12 per hour. They will put the comfort of their customers over your security and peace of mind. The demands for the teller job are high with extremely low pay. They expect you to be perfect at your job with no experience. Only when you are perfect will you receive at least $15 an hour after a few years working there. You are expected to keep up with the mental exhaustion along with stress as if it’s the easiest job. Tellers work the most, and get paid the least. The Financial Service Reps barely get paid and they are under high stress as well. During a busy time of the month, they told the FSR’s they could only have a half hour lunch (normally scheduled for an hour) until they got their customer numbers back to normal. (The expectation was over 90%, their numbers were running in the 80 percentile) They were short staffed AND it was one of the busiest times of the year. I’ve never seen that team so exhausted and overwhelmed during my year and a half of working there. So inconsiderate and selfish! The COO is unprofessional and will use her sarcasm and demeaning words to belittle you if she assumes you are in the wrong. She will do her best to intimidate you and will get away with it. Long story short, working for this company gave me so much anxiety and stress. Even after I resigned I had to adjust to my new job. I could barely focus because I felt the same dread I did while working at MFCU. It took a few months to finally break free of the mental and emotional impact. This company is terrible to stay at for longer than a year. They will drag you down and spit you out like you are dirt, all with a smile on their face to please their customers. If you want to gain start up knowledge about finances, this is a good place ONLY because of the coworkers you will have. Other than that, take the knowledge and GET OUT!

Pros

None. I can't think of any good things except for the free ticket raffle for Tigers tickets. At least I got to get out early to see the game.

Cons

Too many to count. Narcissistic. Egotistical. Corporate America. Will give you the "we are all family speech" then throw you under the bus. The uniforms are uncomfortable and unwelcoming to members. No music or chairs for a 9 hour+ day. Tellers are under paid, etc

Pros

Everybody is very kind and most staff members all around the credit union are very friendly and helpful. Very competitive pay and work days are very busy but a lot of fun if you have the right team which most branches do. If you work hard you get recognized like crazy at this institution, but it's those that just complain or get fired that are writing the bad reviews.

Cons

Not too many at this time. obviously Staffing comes and goes but that is the case in most banking you go through. A lot of places are short staff.
