Pros

- good, central location - core business model seems reasonable - stocked snack kitchen - frequent company-sponsored meals

Cons

- abusive / disrespectful behavior tolerated at all levels - out of control egos - top-down (non-collaborative) decision-making - video surveillance used as a tool to shame employees - little to no respect for employee privacy - unfocused / undisciplined business strategy Employee attrition rate is extremely high for these reasons.

Like an abusive relationship

Pros

Interesting area of crowdfunding Stocked kitchen

Cons

Working at MicroVentures is like an abusive relationships with a lot of highs and lows. It's really great or really awful and the highs occur just enough times to make you think the lows won't occur again. But, then they do. CEO and COO lack management experience. Worse, they lack the desire and importance of great management and getting better. Management lacks self awareness, has inflated egos, and are poor communicators. They genuinely are self serving and do not care for the wellness, development and growth of their employees.

Pros

Good resume filler Good coworkers (until they quit or get fired)

Cons

Surveillance cameras supposedly for security but are mostly used for management to get their kicks. Bad communication and management in general. Terrible morale problems and high turnover. No trust. Management always assumes the worst from you. and assumes you are incompetent and will tell you so.
