      Pros

      Benefit package was decent. Insurance coverage was relatively inexpensive. The 401k had a decent match and defined contribution amount.

      Cons

      Pay could have been better considering the chemicals being handled and the large profit margin the company maintains. Difficult to take advantage of tuition reimbursement while working shiftwork. Lack of accountability and a large communication disconnect within shifts and departments. Don't really seem interested in trying to retain quality workers. Large turnover due to lower pay than competition.

      Location, in the past: loyalty, job security, mentoring, growth and advancement opportunities for employees, in the past strong scientific quality and knowledge, health benefits package

      Cons

      Low pay for industry, lack of any bonus or incentives, long work hours (60-80 hour weeks for full time)
Recently: lack of mentoring or growing employees from within, lack of support for employees with family, lack of HR knowledge or representation for employees, lack of strong scientific experience and oversight in much of the management at this location,
The sick leave and vacation package under EMD are far lacking compared to the previous Millipore offering.
