      Where good ideas are treated infections to be fought

      Pros

      Was a good place before the current strategy of moving jobs offshore

      Cons

      Two cliques in this company. 1. Longer term employees who are pleasant but don't get much done. They fight new ideas and new people like they are a bad infection that will threaten their clueless view of the market. 2. Newer clique that thinks the best way to success is no innovation and big cost savings. Consequently this company sits on its hands and hoping that it's past deeds will keep it alive. No real future view of the market and no ability to hire new innovative people who know new areas.

      Pros

      This is a global company which can mean great opportunities for access to a wide array of technologies and expertise. If you set your mind to it you can learn a lot but that's your responsibility.

      Cons

      Things have certainly changed since the acquisition and folks still seem to be waiting for some sort settling which doesn't seem to come. A once nimble company is now slow to make decisions. The vision for the future is very murky and there is great lack of clarity as to what is down the road.

      Pros

      I've made alot of friends and have learned alot. SAP systems are top line.

      Cons

      Hardly a cost of living increase for the past few years is really hurting employees. Benefits are shrinking with greater medical cost pushed on the employee. Management has been threatening layoffs or job relocation as the means to gain productivity.
