Pros

This should really be a 3.5. Milwaukee Tool is an awesome place to work, there are just some big downsides to be aware of. -A ton of leeway on high dollar decisions, ability to start category at young age -"Get your work done and I don't care where you're working from or when" is generally the mentality on my team (have heard different about other teams) -Work with high energy people who are passionate about what they do -Growth!!! Lots of growth and opportunity. Both for the whole company and as an employee. -"Candid" gets thrown around a lot as a culture pillar, but I really do think Milwaukee is better about laying issues out on the table and working through them versus other companies where it turns into a blame game -Travel to cool places -Team bonding is encouraged and leadership throws events to thank employees

Cons

-No human way to accomplish all to-dos, so you often feel like you're half-assing some tasks -Very inconsistent across teams as to who gets promoted or recognized with rewards -ZERO visiblity to anyone under manager as to what the bonus structure is or what peers' salaries are. It feels sneaky and is a bad look for leadership -Basically all old white dudes running the company, often restricts the amount of support for important iniatives like better recuriting practices,

Hi there! We appreciate you taking the time to share some honest feedback with us! We are proud to provide employees the opportunity to make impactful decisions early on and to promote from within. Empowering individuals at all levels to be decision makers is big part of who we are, we can't become better if we aren't candid with each other. We encourage you to address issues you notice, with your team and management. Without your feedback, something critical to our success, we miss out on opportunities to see where might be falling short, and address those issues.

Pros

They have a very good benefits package

Cons

A lot of politics among the IT directors resulted in employees that were scared to be innovative and take risks.

Pros

I have been employed at several companies over the years, from family-owned, local businesses to S&P 500 global corporations. I can tell you that Milwaukee Tool absolutely walks the talk when it comes to valuing its employees as a competitive advantage, and treating them as such. I've never gone through such a positive on-boarding process - it was, and continues to be great! Also, the team approach to business permeates every level of the organization. It's all about delivering exceptional products/experiences to the customers, and everyone is there to support each other and push the ball forward to that end. I love working at Milwaukee Tool, and I can't remember the last time I said that about any place at which I worked.

Cons

Extreme growth in any environment can create its own unique challenges for an organization; Milwaukee Tool is no exception. It was apparent on day one that most of the stress in the office is due to the amount of work that needs to be done, versus the number of people who are there to accomplish it. On one hand, one is encouraged to come up with creative solutions to the challenges that the organization is facing. However, sometimes it feels like we're scrambling to do things without a clear vision of where we're going. It's my sincere hope that I don't begin to feel overwhelmed by the workload, but in any case, we are encouraged to keep the lines of communication open with leadership in order to get support - again, something I haven't always experienced with previous companies.
