Pros

Philanthropist at heart, they really believe in charity. They rehab ageing people suffering from "employability challenges" and make them Delivery Managers.

Cons

The Company has set new records in non transparency and incompetence, and every year it breaks his own record kudos to the top management. While they expect you to be a true professional willing to put in more than 8 hours a day they make a mockery of how professional companies behave. Mr CEO when was the last time our Salary got credited on 31st of a month? When is this month Salary going to get credited? its already 3rd day of the month and our bills are badly due. What stops you from letting the employees know at least that Salary will get delayed? Don't you think that its your responsibility to do that? What right have you got to evaluate employees performance when you can't even pay them on time? How can anyone draw a straight line between the "full page advertisements" you flash on paper where you publish rubbish on behalf of employees and your level of professionalism. If you have an iota of shame left please process employees Salary on time. They are the one who sweat it out day and night when the managers are busy planning their next vacation. I don't want to even discuss the competence levels of Delivery Managers they are good for nothing bunch of jokers highly lacking technical ability, So much so that it's laughable. They would tell lies after lies to client, even can make you work under a different name(sic) while the founder of the company gives lectures on honesty and ethics. wake up! The irony is that the Founder of the Company lives in an "Alice in wonderland" world where he thinks the company can be put in a different bracket of so called "cool" companies just by making employees play football and skate litrally inside the company. People are not so naive to not see it as a marketing strategy. They can't be fooled to believe its part of the culture here.

Pros

I started as a fresher in mindfire then stayed there for 5 years. So I have seen all aspects of mindfire. 1 - Salary is good as compared to company like TCS and INFOSYS but not that good like big MNC 2 - You can take loan at time of urgency without any paper work and without any interest, purely based on trust 3 - You get introduced to client on early stage which makes you more confident dealing with clients and understanding requirements. 4 - Free lunch, free snacks 5 - The most and best point about mindfire is that you get good colleagues 6 - Laptops are given and you can work from home 7 - Your assigned lead or manager won't help you at the time of technical need or problem, so you will try hard and find the solution by yourself and you'll learn and feel proud. (You decide whether it's a pro or con) 8 - No bond

Cons

1 - The biggest disadvantage of mindfire is their managers and leads who have been in the company for around 8 to 10 years and are favorite of managers. They never appreciate your work. They can't provide you any technical help, forget about help they won't even give you time to listen the problem. The role of these manager and leads are to send emails to client and add unnecessary extra work to increase your load. You will be in a trap because it's you who will be communicating with client and you can't go against your lead as well. If you will not do as they say or if you will argue they will not tell you anything but take you to the manager and manager will take your class. 2 - Mindfire has changed vastly in last two years. There is no set rule or policy. The rule and policy is defined and changed by CEO over one email to whole company. Mindire and it's CEO expect their employees to think and analyse the problem first and then go for proving a solution which will be no doubt a better solution, but CEO himself never work in this way. All his decision or emails never show such work. An email will come today and after few days that email will get replace with another one by providing reasons why we can't implement previous email. 3 - Freshers please think and investigate about this company before joining. Mindfire used to be a good place for fresher eager to learn and perform but that mindfire is no more there. In current mindfire I have seen many cases where they hire fresher with very tough interview process and then within 6 to 8 months they will fire you. They hire fresher and then put fresher in a technology for 1month and then change the technology to another for 2months and then they keep on doing that and won't allow you settle with one technology. Finally they will assign you a project with whole new technology. They won't consider that you been exposed to so many change and they won't provide you change to prove and finally fire you. Total unfair. 4 - In mindfire your fate is decided by the project and the client you are working with. If your project is going nice and you client is good you won't be bothered. Here LUCK matters. Mindfire never consider good feedback from client, but the moment you get a bad feedback from client you are screwed. In mindfire CLIENT IS ALWAYS right. No body gives a damn about you valid reasons. 5 - People work till very late here even girls and there is no cab facilities. Mindfire used to have one cab (better than nothing) but that got stopped. Let me tell you how. A year ago CEO enforced fixed time (really appreciated). As per fixed policy everyone has to come at 9 to 11 and leave by max 8. So there will be no one in office by 8, CEO stopped cab service (again appreciated as it made employees to leave office before 8 for safety purpose). Now in one month, as it always happen, fixed time got stopped. Managers forced employees to stay late, work and communicate with client. Eventually fixed time went out of the picture but the cab service never came back. 6 - Mindfire never follow any SDLC process. Company spent money on agile scrum training but managers and leads failed to implement it across the projects. They are in misconception of following it. They following something else. There are no scrum masters, there are no discussions and no sprint planning. 7 - If you have done hard work for this company, if you have stayed late and delivered, if you have canceled your leaves as asked by your manager and if you have worked for this company by putting work before personal life then one day they will make you feel that all these above things don't count. That day is the day you resign. Once you resign your manager will treat you very unprofessionally. They will create unnecessary complication in release process. Your honest hard work that you have done which made you feel proud would be converted to a regret and at the end you will feel that this company doesn't deserve you.

Pros

- Flexi time table. Good if you don't want to work - Free lunch. Good if you are greedy - CCD coffee. Good if you are going to office to date someone - Work From Home. Good if you don't like your office premises - Salary is good. But all are variable pay and bonuses - Free breakfast. Good if you are not getting it from your home

Cons

- Confuse CEO and his managers - No specific training given in a particular technology before you deployed into project. Even they don't give you KT. - There is no such training department or room. Instead of giving technical session they give training on PHILOSOPHY. Like "Why fan is rotating in anti-clockwise direction", "Why tree grow in upward direction" etc. - After 5-6 round of interviews also they don't have faith on that candidate neither they have faith on their interviewer, they gave training on philosophy and took two-three more rounds of technical and theoretical interviews and terminate if you cant qualify. - Incompetence managers who plays mail game and put all the burden on their developers. - I can say you are the luckiest person if you stick to one technology in mindfire. They keep on changing your projects and your technologies. They actually belief you should be reliable and flexible and you should work with both open and close source technologies which is not possible in reality. If at all any problem happened then you will be titled as "BAD PERFORMER OR YOU ARE IN CODE RED ZONE" - There are managers who doesn't know professional and personal ethics and even doesn't know how to speak. - You might be in a situation where you earn more then your senior or you earn less then your junior. There is no fixed or stabilized salary structure. - Your salary will be determined by number of blog post, article, training sessions etc not by your productivity work. - Unnecessary code reviews where your junior will take your review who didn't work on that particular technology, like .net guy take reviews of PHP. - Unnecessary lead, cross-lead, comprehensive reviews where you will be asked bunch of irrelevant and spurious questions out of the world and you will be judge with some pathetic internal processes. - Reviews can be anything like 6-7 years experienced guy has been asked for saleable "Prime number code". I don't understand where they will sale "prime number code". - They don't belief their employees. - Your work estimation will be decided by your lead or by your manager where they didn't even aware of the module or the projects. - There are projects where manager and lead involve is absolute zero and if project fails then both of them escalate that to top level management means to CEO. - Even if you are in a meeting they don't allow you to speak. - Leaves are yours according to CEO, but manager says leaves are decided by me or by client. - There are few senior most employees who are the backbone of mindfire, but they don't deserve that position. - They can terminate anyone at any time without any notification. - No Promotions because they have a flat structure and you will be developer for life time as your manager will not going to retire. - There is no space for meeting as your meeting room has been occupied by your managers. - Favouritism exist with 1000% where you will see someone growing so rapidly with out any technical knowledge who doesn't know alphabet of coding. - There are managers who also do paramour favouritism. - There is no specific HR bay or department.
