Pros

Good product. Nice office. Pretty competitive salaries.

Cons

Current marketing and brand design team leadership was ruining all the management processes for more than a year and making one bad decision after another. Lack of trust, lack of respect, ageism, homophobia, we've seen it all. And instead of changing for the good and maybe doing some leadership changes, they just failed completely and ended up laying off most of the top design and management talents and offshoring the work to cheaper countries. Then the leadership was trying to make this dirty and sneaky move look good, but, well, people don't buy it. In general, the way the company conducted these sneaky and absolutely unnecessary layoffs hurt the company-employee relationship severely.

Pros

Miro has been a refreshing change of pace in my career at SaaS companies. I've been at Miro for about 3 years and have experienced extreme growth, constant change, and the best people. Miro really does play as a team -- we've taken the product's mission of "collaboration" to heart in how the team works and includes every team member. I've never been a part of a company where I feel like I can have a real & immediate impact on my team/company, our processes, and how we can be a great place to work. I personally have been mentored by leaders to become a better version of myself professionally, have been given opportunities to learn and grow my skills, have been rewarded and recognized for my hard work through promotions and other accolades, and am surrounded by a team that does not judge me when I have a question or need help.

Cons

If you don't consider yourself to be adaptable or are looking for a company that has everything figured out, Miro is not for you. Those things should excite you if you are considering Miro as this is a place where you can make a real impact and help solidify our identity as we grow.

Pros

Work-life balance is top of mind.

Cons

Miro has a huge diversity problem. The D&I team is made up of only white women. If you are a potential candidate in the US I would be cautious because this company is run with a Eurocentric lens.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your insights and concerns regarding diversity and inclusion (D&I) at Miro. At Miro, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. We acknowledge that we are not perfect and recognize that we have areas where improvement is needed. However, we are fully committed to embarking on a journey of continuous growth and progress in our D&I efforts. To ensure progress, we have implemented several initiatives: - Partnerships: We have established collaborations with organizations like Workplace Pride to enhance specific areas within D&I. - D&I Committee: A dedicated committee will prioritize and promote D&I topics within our organization. - Optimized Hiring Process: We are using a Diversity Slate Approach to ensure a more diverse candidate pool during our hiring process. - Trainings: We are developing training programs that align with our company's D&I statements and values. - Incident Management: Clear guidelines have been established to effectively address and respond to D&I concerns. - Employee Resource Groups: We are providing increased support and clarity to our Employee Resource Groups to amplify their impact.
