Pros

Mitratech truly believes in developing its employees, whether it's for a continued career at Mitratech or elsewhere. It's a fun, challenging, rewarding place to work. Too many employees these days are only looking for freebies & perks and are not open to truly evaluating the strength and future of the company. Mitratech provides stability, growth and opportunity in addition to regular perks. It's a great place to start your career, but the opportunities don't end there. The employee is responsible for their destiny, but Mitratech provides the tools and resources for pursuing what you want.

Cons

The entry level salary structure makes sense and is the right thing to do, but the salaries need to catch up to market sooner than they currently do.

Great foot in the door opportunity, but delivers true value

Pros

Many opportunities to those seeking to break into the software development, support, management, etc industry. Values aptitude over experience and offers training and mentoring to cover the gaps. I have seen some new hires (as well as many old) of senior and managerial be let go despite industrial experience - where it wasn't compatible with Mitratech's expectations of quality. However, much experience in development and support is on the job - again an excellent opportunity to prove onesself. Changed focus to development from services - deficiencies are being addressed proactively instead of reactively as per old Modus Operandi. Chain of command is highly respected. No dealing with more than a single boss or two. Strong initial PTO and fairly laid-back and friendly environment. I have seen people moved from one position to another they are more suited for and have a desire to work in. Several interns being made full-time or promoted. Strong upward mobility.

Cons

Reliance on swarth of overseas labor reduced: job is no longer a sinecure as per pre-Vista. Old Guard mentality eliminated after acquisition. Still a slave to patchwork/reactionary development due to yet unstreamlined customizations nearsightedly cobbled during pre-Vista acquisition. Obstructionists let go - sadly, so did knowledge of workarounds, patchworks, and the spaghetti logic of product. Aggressive and at times unrealistic product release schedule. I do worry about Mitratech being a stepping-stone to other Vista companies in some cases. Compensation and bonus aren't very exciting and potentially below market - focus seems more on the opportunities for advancement.

Pros

They offer free food and other incentives but you can think long term... it’s should be your short term goal just to raise salary and find another one during notice period...

Cons

I was hired after 9 rounds of interview and without any reason they fired me on the spot with no reason, with no performance improvement plan and no empathy for the employee...... this was kind of surprised but not new in MitraTech.. they have hire and fire culture and this being operated with single mind..!!! If you are looking for long term and stable company then this is not for you If tou are looking for technology or product then again this is not for you.. If you want to learn entire agile process and tool then only you can join.. Company long term vision is not clear as they already fired their all core developers in US and now they believe they can maintain the product without investing on product They have couple of small clients and in COVID you don’t know how long this would go Product is old and has future only if innovation added, that lack due to hire and fire culture In my time I was forced to fire few employees unethically without any reason or PIP process and when I said No in front of my team and then I also get the ping slip :) So yes join at your own risk, as even after 9 rounds and in few months they can fire you with no reason and you will left with your own I will request find MNC as you must have potential if you are reading this comment (as their interview process is good) , so just for few extra bucks don’t say yes here and go for MNC or mid size.. now whenever I apply anywhere I see company head count and only apply if they are >5000 :) When I joined Mitratech, I had another 3 offers from top MNC but I joined here as I was confident with my skill and experience but with bad management style in Mitratech I lost that confidence and still today (abt 1 yr) I feel bad about it. So be cognisant and mindful about your decision as that is important in career. Thanks for reading !!
