Pros

- You will come across really friendly people - Recently transitioned most of development and support to India. Though there are very few resources available in the US, they are knowledgeable and extremely helpful - People really try to stick to a couple of the companies core values - Ownership and Continuous Improvement

Cons

- The development team is not given any value at least in the office here in India. If you are a developer or a QA, you get managed by everyone possible. It gets really frustrating when you are questioned by someone who is not even closely qualified or knowledgeable as you. - The products are old and unstable. If you are looking to work on some modern technologies, this is not the right place. - What I understood from my interaction with the folks in the US is that the culture there is pretty good and laid back. But the management has totally failed in bringing that to the office in India. They cannot blindly rely on what they hear from the managers, they should probably try to talk to the lower level employees as well. - They have this fancy TPM role most of whom can neither understand the business nor have a mere idea of what they are doing . Instead of trying to learn the product or trying to understand the business, the only thing they are good at is harassing the dev's and QA. Someone has to teach them that they are "Technical Project Managers" and all they get to manage is the project not people. - The only thing the dev managers care about is how much time you are logging on a daily basis. They do not give a damn about how your TPM's treat you. Apparently there is a line between the duties of the managers and TPM's and they are not interested in hearing you talk about it. - Transparency is one of the core values of the company and you never see it anywhere in the organization.

Thank you for the candid feedback. It is unfortunate to hear you've had such a challenging experience at Mitratech. We are going to be rolling out a new employee engagement tool that will allow us to solicit, in real time, anonymous feedback from all employees. This tool and the feedback it collects will subsequently provide leadership and managers the opportunity to address engagement issues like the one you have raised directly.

Pros

Startup product development company trying to scale up in Hyderabad but management is pathetic and they are not sure what and why they are here.. join at your own risk.. hiring and firing is in their culture.

Cons

Join at your own risk, no future as company is very unstable and not sure what they want to hire.. Hire and fire culture and anytime you could be fired without any reason. In last 1-2 month they’ve fired 10+ folks in Hyderabad office. Better join other small or MnC rather than this company for peaceful future growth and long term goal. I am still working here but started applying outside and same for each and everyone in the company.. I am still regretting why I left my MNC job and why I joined this company just for few extra money..

Pros

1. Package is good 2. People from home office are nice and helping (Some who are left)

Cons

1. Lots of restructuring and layoffs on the name of performance 2. Micromanagement at its peak by the managers, they will ask you to be productive 9/9 hours a day 3. Everyone says they are approachable, but no one is. Alot of unnecessary pressure to deliver things. 4. Extremely backdated technology, management is very conservative over implementing new ideas. 5. Every 2nd week they come with a new matrix to log hours/ cost per project calculation and just pressurize employees more and more. 6. Leaves and work from home need to be discussed alot.

First, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It’s unfortunate you have had a negative experience and have a negative outlook of the company. It is true that our culture is focused on performance and / with velocity. We believe this is what has made us successful, but we also reinforce the importance of work / life balance. During these times of 100% virtual work, it’s become too easy for employees to be “online” all the time, but that is certainly not a practice we support or encourage. Additionally, we empower our employees to work with their managers to determine the most productive management style to ensure the employee can thrive. At the same time, our managers are expected to be able to track productivity and report on the same so that we can be proactive with leading indicators rather than reactive with bad data. With that said, I hope you feel empowered to take a transparent approach by speaking to your manager about your experience while also inquiring and learning about the changes being made in order to truly understand the “why” behind the decisions you encounter.
