Pros

Paid out commission on time and know what's coming, good medical, snacks in fridge, flexible with work hours (as long as 8 hr days)

Cons

CEO was a crazy micro manager in addition to all the other sales managers and execs. Many of them don't have college degrees and are uneducated. Very limited sales tools. Basically give you a slide deck, Phone, SF license and tell you to dial for dollars. Felt guilty when they are trying to help non-profits but implement shady sales tactics to get deals to move forward. Their tech platform is very basic and not user friendly. Non-profits could pay a quarter of the price for other solutions and also not have to deal with some of the aggressive sales people.

Pros

Decent Benefits, stocked kitchen, free gym membership, great sales team full of people who are truly passionate about the company and the product.

Cons

Management at all levels. They promote a boiler room mentality. The only thing that matters is number of dials you make in a given day. To top that off, the management team literally walks around micro-managing people all day on their metrics. Truly an awful environment if you are a strategic thinking sales professional. The managers have actually told reps to be less strategic. They push old-school hard closing tactics that don't work with their customer base and leads to excessive churn. Managers actually tell potential customers that the reason to buy is because "we need to make our numbers" or " my sales reps needs to get paid". No lie, these things are said on calls all the time. I can't speak for everyone, but I can say many of the positive reviews on here are fake or coerced. They bribe people with free meals or fun outings to put up positive reviews. It's not until after people leave or get fired that the truth comes out. There is zero coaching for sales reps. You will never have a one-on-one with your manager other than them coming to your desk and asking you what's closing at the beginning of each month. Even then, they will spend five minutes asking for your forecast and not go into any detail about any of the opportunities. Then they get angry if all the deals in your forecast don't close. They make up terrible (demeaning) games for sales reps to be rewarded for their performance. Things like spinning a wheel for cash prizes where 75% of the prizes are $10. They award people amazon gift cards in the amount of $20 and will act like its a huge deal. This is all very demeaning and demoralizing to people who actually value being a sales professional. The place is a revolving door. Reps come and go every week. This is by far the worst place I have ever seen when it comes to turnover on the sales team. It is literally a new team every 4-6 months. There are only around 2-3 reps who have been there longer than 2 years. There is a reason why they are on their 5th VP of Sales in 4 years. All the VPs who attempted to implement a more strategic model were let go. Do yourself a favor, if you're a smart, consultative, forward thinking sales professional, avoid MobileCause. You will not be happy there.

Could be a great place to work, but still has a ways to go

Pros

Great product to help nonprofits - well stocked kitchen - free gym membership.

Cons

Low salary - nonexistent performance reviews - out of touch CEO - inside politics seem more like high school "jock and mean girls" versus the smart but "un-cool" kids.
