Pros

1) Compensation 2) WFH facility 3) New wise HR Head to India office

Cons

1) There are some senior folks in the company working for a long time and company thinks that they know everything and they can steer the company to success. But unfortunately, they are not broad minded, micro managing, political, jealous and not ready to accept better solutions from the new folks joining the company. 2) No opportunity to learn new technologies 3) Aggressive work with pressure and no quality 4) Weekend and late night work

Pros

ModelN is a great place to work. Culture over here is very open and very flexible so it is very easy to balance work-life. Leadership is also great and provide you with enough space/time for work and opportunities to grow. Looking at the technology - you get exposure to fairly latest and cutting edge technology depending on the role and work. Talking about perks - ModelN would be way ahead to take care of their employees and providing open culture to them. Free Lunch on every Friday, Monthly Happy hour, Company Meetings/Picnic adds up as a great perk to the employees. Not to forget company shutdown during end of the year is another opportunity (in the form of appreciation) from ModelN to each and every employee to take time off, relax and spend quality time with your family - just before the new year kicks in. I believe that is why ModelN is able to bring great people/team to work with. I simply enjoy each and every day at ModelN.

Cons

I would not consider this as a really cons point but it would be great to do a review on pay scales. Although it is equivalent to Market outside but exceeding the same would make it hard to loose any level of talent and it would be easy to bring exceptional skilled people as well.

Pros

Very good work culture. Employee can enjoy with out any strict hours and unlimited work from options. Quarterly team outings, annually family day outing, annually company meetings and outings to different resorts. Liberal management. Every employee will be offered with Restricted Stock Units which is very rare in big companies also. Every year gifts will be given for family day and company annual kick off meeting. T-shirts every year for company annual kick off meeting

Cons

Employee will loose freedom to think and implement because of code review process. Very old technologies were being used. so cannot grow technically. Manager cannot have eye on each employee and cannot judge properly. He has to rely only on seniors for an employee assessment in appraisals. Cafeteria is very small and employees has to wait a lot of time for lunch for tables.

Pros

Good to work there when you are specialized in Enterprise Software technologies such as Salesforce.com. It's apparently a great place to learn about the US healthcare system. It is an ok place for a beginneer engineer who wants to learn about the enterprise software and software consulting world.

Cons

Most employees have a "can do" attitude but often lack perspective on how things can work in the rest of the industry - and hence usually have poor performance while being convinced of the opposite. I had the feeling that most employees - except the few "heroes" - were totally scared of middle and senior management - no one wanted to make decisions or feel accountable for anything.

Stuck with age old technology !!

Pros

Great infrastructure. They will provide with state of the art hardware infrastructure. You will get a work station with 24 GB RAM and 2 TB hard disk. But, you will end up with working on old, rigid and not scalabe software architecture of their product that will make you out of the league in terms of current market trends. Though, you will find challenging and exciting work at times. But, it is more of repeatable and tiresome tasks. They are stuck with single giant, monolithic, older technologies and they stuck so deep that it will take them years to incorporate new, user friendly, easy to use, and scalable technologies in place. And, Saddest part is, I don't think they are working in that direction. Better work environment. All the employees will align with your thoughts on management, at least.

Cons

My first impression after working for a while is.. There are more managers than actual workers doing the stuff. At times, you have to report to 4 to 5 managers on a single issue on multiple occasions. There will be meetings for the sake of arguments without any proper and concrete outputs. Everyone wants to make their point (which is good, by the way) without giving much thought what others are saying. I see some managers so adamant that they won't comply with others opinions hindering the agile process. Coming to HR department, The less I talk about them, the better. Pay structure is not at all transparent and often confusing for the people. And, guess what it is very rare that you will get your 100% bonus. And, No job security. On a fine day, you enter the office and may get a pink slip.
