Pros

Snacks Cool offices (dependent on city) Reimbursed gym and cell phone HR takes things seriously Perks overall (although unlimited PTO is at manager discretion) Quarterly outings, as well as quarterly stipend for team outings Networking with individuals of all companies large and small (think of this benefit in the long term) Some members of the org are really great, but far and few in between There are systems in place to promote from within and move up the ladder, which I admire and is definitely one of the strongest points of Mondo. However part of it comes to luck with clients, as much as management will not admit it. But it’s nice to see how you can forge a path within the company.

Cons

Lol where to start.. 1. If you are a guy, be prepared to struggle immensely for success. Considering most of our clients are men who work in the male dominated fields of IT and Tech, I’ve seen guys struggle for the same success that their pretty female counterparts have handed to them simply because they have an attractive LinkedIn photo. If that’s not telling enough, about 75% of Mondo employees are women, and with the exception of 1 or 2 men, all high performers are women. 2. Speaking of high performers, commissions are laughable, base salary is even more so, and there is RAMPANT nepotism and favoritism. I get along with other girls pretty easily, but I’ve never met a more clique group of people in my life across all 10 offices, from senior management down to the grunts (with the exception of the CEO and CFO who are no longer) 4. The resources suck. We talk a big game on meetings but hugely fail to deliver on expectations with 85% of our clients, and I can’t tell you how many times they’ve complained about us harassing them for meetings and follow ups. Management seems to fail to understand that our clients are busy with their actual work, and won’t always have 5m to talk to us about why they didn’t choose X candidate. 5. Pay discrepancy is dependent on how much the VP or Director likes you. I know individuals in the company who are receiving north of $10k less than their equal counterparts for no reason other than senior management likes them more, all other things being equal. There is the clique mentality I was talking about. 6. Retention in Mondo is the worst I’ve seen; when our top performers are jumping ship, you know things aren’t great. Definitely a burn and churn place, even if they talk about longevity with the company. The commissions are paid out on a monthly basis, and are tier dependent, so if your client decides they want to pay a few dollars less, your commission could go from an extra $250 a month, to $65 a month. It’s very difficult to make actual money comparatively to other companies in Boston with less responsibility.

Pros

None. If giving zero stars was an option, I would.

Cons

Management is atrocious. I have never been treated or spoken to in such a manner. Don't expect that they are looking out for you to better your career. They dispose of employees and try and get as much work out of them with abuse and threats for a few months until you quit, then they get a whole new batch of people to repeat this vicious cycle. I worked on a team of 12 in a 2 month span and not one of them are there to this day - turnover rate is extremely high.

Pros

- do you time, perform, then go find a real job in internal somewhere where you're treated like a real human instead of being guilt tripped and threatened into working illegal overtime hours that you're not going to be paid for. - if you cant find a job after school, they'll probably take you. - if you survive there, anywhere else will seem like a cake walk. - There are good humans there, but most of them are being coerced by upper management into behavior that just feels wrong when it comes to the sales tactics and employee management.

Cons

- They wont pay you enough, then tell you that your 'overtime pay' is your commission - that you generally don't see for many many many months after you close a "deal". - They operate on the backs of the few performers that have weeded their way into a legitimate corporation as a third party resource. - Retention is low because the overhead per employee is low so they have no incentive to find reasons to make employees stay - they don't pay you enough and most people don't stay long enough to see commission in any case. - Know your rights when it comes to how much you should be getting paid and employment law per state- ask to see your ADP account - if you're in California, you're required to put in overtime hours, even if you're "salaried". - They'll play on how desperate you are to have a job/need money. They'll sell you on the good life using 1-2 people who have made a ludicrous amount of money off a couple good deals. They are the outliers, not the norm. - Upper management is going to be driving down your throat to make you stay much much later than is probably legally allowed, with thinly veiled threats that if you're not compliant to the extraneous unpaid effort they require out of you, that being put on a performance improvement plan or being forced out will be the next step. Basically, drink the Kool-Aid, or get out. - They wont offer you basic benefits until after your 90 days, which in most circumstances wouldn't seem so questionable, but I have a hunch that it's because there's a large amount of people who don't even make it that long and they don't want to waste their resources.
