Toxic Company and Culture

Pros

Made some good friends here - it’s easy to bond over the environment and poor management.

Cons

Overall culture is just toxic. A bunch of 20 something year olds who hire new graduates that they can work into the ground and replace easily/pay low. Be prepared to work 12 hours days and be available to answer calls/emails after hours and on weekends. Very sexist culture. Everything is based on looks. Management is in their 20s and their advice is to wear low cut tops on business meetings and flirt with male Hiring Managers for business. Management attempts to push people into sales if they’re good looking, assuming they’ll be good. Countless remarks on body figures and looks. No work life balance, you will be absolutely exhausted by the time you leave.

A Joke

Pros

Only pro is my colleagues were the best people! You will make friends here.

Cons

This is the MOST toxic environment I’ve ever been in. It’s disgusting that you get in trouble for leaving on time, not lying to candidates or taking an actual lunch. My manager kept asking me “what do you really have to do after work?” All I learned here was how to dial a phone. Management tries to be emotionally manipulative. I quit and my quality of life is so much better. I don’t care if they give us a free subscription to Headspace. Their benefits SUCK, they want you to be overworked and there is ZERO work/life balance. My manager lied to me endlessly all while blowing his nasty JUUL in my face.

Technical Recruiter

Pros

I’ve been in staffing and recruiting for years. Mondo has a boutique culture that is fun and open.. at one point, the office was full of talented and friendly people but they started dropping like flies every couple of months

Cons

-Mondo cannot retain talent, top performers or would be performers leave out of fear of firing. -Management made it clear employees were on the chopping block and that they were actively interviewing potential candidates to take your seat. -I’ve never seen another staffing firm operate in this way, it’s demotivating and quickens the burn out. -Very aggressive firm. This can be a pro or a con, but for me it’s a con. Most staffing firms are not this aggressive, the recruiters here are like trained telemarketers. -Recruiters don’t care about the candidates, they care about the money they can be made from the candidates. -Management doesn’t care about the recruiters. they care about the money that can be made from the recruiters. -If you close a deal before you quit or are fired, they do not give commission. I don’t think this is legal or moral. If someone worked to close a deal then that is the person who should get commission for it.
