      Pros

      I have worked for many top-tier tech companies, and MongoDB, by far, has given me the most rewarding work for the first time in my career. Work-Life Balance. I feel supported daily and feel like I am in a role where I feel valued and can truly make an impact.

      Cons

      There are a lot of processes that are not fully built out, so you have to love an environment where at times, you have to build it yourself.

      - diverse culture, skillsets, and unique personalities make for a dynamic team that requires each member to contribute for a consistent velocity - free reign over internal products gives team more decision making power and more responsibility over these tools - cross team support is sturdy - benefits and perks are good - competitive salary, 401k (no match), health/dental/vision with HSA allowance, free lunch at office, home office setup with extra swag! - big learning curve and opportunities to shift gears into other teams within MDB - hybrid model gives flexibility on work conditions and locations

      Cons

      - non relational db has pros and cons. the biggest downside so far has been foreign key references. data consistency is managed by middle services, as opposed to a standard db feature
