The woman I work for realizes what this place is really about.

Cons

I work in admissions and my job was threatened if I don't bring in numbers. The man made some extreme comments regarding what I wear to work. The school functions on the sole basis of how many kids come to the school. They need to have as many new kids come in each year cause so many drop out and never come back. The place is a revolving door and it's pretty much because of the ideas and rules this guy has imposed. He has no idea what he's doing.

Environment and staff are friendly.

Cons

Promotions are given based on people's "likeliness" and not their skills and talents. Managment needs further training in leadership and motivational skills with staff. Long hours provide a poor work and life balance.

The work isn't overwhelming although we are working with hundreds of students, professors, etc.

Cons

As a work study employee, it is hard to advance. Usually people don't leave Monroe, so there aren't much spaces to fill if they wanted to permanently hire a work study student.
