Pros
- The leadership, board members, donors, and colleagues are very supportive of each other and the mission. When you need something, people work to make it happen. We don't operate in black and white, and there's always room for opinions and discussions, which only help to develop us and improve ourselves and team - Work/Life Balance is fantastic. Being from the hotel industry, it was a huge surprise to work for a company that expects and encourages you to use your PTO and celebrates your personal life. They sent me flowers when I got married, which I could have never expected and appreciated so much. They also send flowers to any employees that experience a family death or tragedy. So caring - The team of leaders is awesome and they take care of each other. It's a rare thing to see a team function more like a family and communicate well with each other. - The best part of working here is that you are actually making a positive difference in people's lives. You can see the impact of what you do and how meaningful it is to those we serve and their families.
Cons
- Benefit plans are lacking. Much of it due to the excessive costs of COVID testing that hit our insurance, but overall, the provider as a whole is not accepted as much as others.
