Pros

I love being able to work with the wonderful individuals that Mosaic serves.

Cons

Mosaic brought on the responsibility of bringing individuals from Beatrice State Developmental Services and other higher needs people. They invested a lot of financial, management and employee resources in funding and staffing these homes. Currently they are unable to be accrediated by the state of Nebraska. Meanwhile many vocational workshops and residential homes and under staffed and underserved for intervention hours. The quality of care has decreased dramatically in the established areas of Mosaic services in hopes of trying to be accrediated in other areas.

The clients/residents I worked with were great. People generaly respect the kind of work you do (care for the disabled) Insurance Full time is 32 hours

Cons

There seems to be a lot of hostility within the Terre Haute Branch of Mosaic. I can't speak for any of the other branches. The only reason to stay or go back is the clients. Pay is insulting. (I started at $8.00 hr we recived a company wide raise making starting salery for a DSA (Direct Support Associate) $8.32 I recived two raises in 2.5years so my ending salery was $8.75. I hear that if you have your CNA you get $1.00 more an hour) mosaicinfo.org

There is high job security due to the turnover rate.

Cons

The company is very unorganized. They continue to put more responsibility on direct care staff and management. This in turn creates an environment that does not create the best care for the individuals in service.
