Pros

Mosaic serves people with developmental disabilities in day and residential programs. This, in and of itself, is rewarding. Everyday was different, there was always something new to do or some new challenge to overcome. I felt as if I made a difference in people's lives.

Cons

I was not provided with the tools necessary to fulfill the job requirement. The position required more responsibilities than one person can do and unreachable goals are set. When these goals and responsibilities are not met, staff are punished and provided with little to no support.

Good place to work to start a career

Pros

Good learning environment for those beginning a career because you are forced to learn quickly as most agencies are small and you are responsible for decisions made in that agency. Work schedules are flexible and the company has a good work/life balance. Excellent benefits package. Very high job satisfaction level because of what the company does for the community.

Cons

Very poor professional salaries because it is a non-profit organization. Even lower than some comparable non-profit groups. Dealing with some agency issues can be difficult for young professionals just out of college with little experience.
