Pros

Remote work. Some great people.

Cons

Low pay. Minimal raises. No 401k match. Downhill since PE. Lack of transparency from leadership. Micromanaging manager. No longer practices what they preach in terms of cultural values.

Pros

Their core studio product is still their bread and butter and the people remain the strongest asset of the company, but they've been bleeding employees since the acquistion.

Cons

They have been sinking more and more resources into the Da Vinci product and have been running on the treadmill. Churning out both employees and clients. The culture has slowly devolved from something aspirational to tribal mentality. I used to love this company, but what was once a darling, is now a shadow of it's former splendor. After the exit, their future remains uncertain for the product and the people

Pros

Worked with some really great coworkers during my time at Movable Ink. Others were very willing to collaborate and mentor each other. It's a good product for marketers that are ready to use it. Particularly a good product for the enterprise space. Good work-life balance. In terms of startups a slower moving company in terms of progression which was good for work-life balance.

Cons

Complete lack of vision for outbound management. When I started there were about 10 BDRs and when I left it was down to 4 BDRs. No clear path to promotion, multiple people passed on promotions who were higher performers due to tenure. Small TAM. Movable Ink is a great product but a company needs to be set up with other tech tools to be able to properly use it, so there were many unqualified meetings due to that.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your experience here. Inker feedback is incredibly important to us - as you know from our twice yearly employee engagement survey. Having hands on and engaged managers is part of our core values which is why we provide learning and development opportunities for all inkers, and specific curriculum focused on managers. Additionally, we strive for 80% of our reps to hit 80% of their quota; in fact, several reps overachieved their quota last quarter! If someone is not feeling supported we encourage outreach to our HR team, completely confidential, so we can learn how we can help. If you’re comfortable, we’d love to hear more from you - please reach out to peopleteamhelp@movableink.com
