Pros

Decent hourly pay, generous discount, pretty low stress, pleasant coworkers, mostly pleasant customers.

Cons

The home office does not actually care about people beyond being a body in the store. They often treat store staff like children, even when trying to be nice with dollar store gifts and condescending platitudes. Not enough information shared with staff for effective communication with customers. There seems to be a lot of variation in what staff have been informed of from store to store. Calling it an “employee owned company” is very misleading.

Pros

Discount and pay but that’s how they trap you

Cons

No appreciation for store level. Most managers are just looking to climb the ladder and you are never valued or listened too. Super clicky and will pick favorites. District managers are really bad at their jobs.

Attendance policy is horrific, not people-minded Some managers are cruel to the point of it being abusive Pay is low for the work you do Regularly asked to do work outside of your job description Extremely white workforce
