Customers are always happy. Work is easy (stocking, selling). Always loads to learn via handouts and signage.

Cons

Training is mostly pick-it-up-as-you-go-along, which can lead to bad habits from other coworkers Mandatory carryouts of 30-pound bags (of kibble, cat litter)-- ouch says the back! Pay is worse than most retail and staff is expected to know A LOT Erratic schedule-- opening one day, closing the next

Discount on stuff we sold Great co-workers working with animals and their owners not a lot of stress from the job (read cons)

Cons

Drama created by some co-workers with unrealistic views of the world and employment (the job was great -- they just thought they should be in charge of everything cuz they knew it all) Pay is low, but better than big box retailers
