There is no balance of personal and professional life. You are expected to give so much of yourself day in and day out. During the long interview process you are sold a dream as to what the position is, however when you step in it is a different story. They have absolutely NO database for donors, so many times you are contacting people repeatedly. There is no cross reference as too what people/companies were contacted. They are a VERY grassroots fundraising organization, cold calling and stalking potential donors. The collateral used during presentations is laughable. Their expectations are unrealistic at the very least. There was so much micromanaging and unprofessional behavior by the ED. Their practices are very obselete and unprofessional. MDA is a revolving door and has a high turn over rate. There is a lot of travel involved. As a Coordinator you do everything, count, deposit money no matter what time of day it is.
