Pros

I had a great team, but to be honest, if it wasn't for them the pros list would be very small. Driving a company vehicle around town all day is a pretty easy job. So, there's that. I enjoyed the knowledge I received working in the industry and since then use them constantly. You get in close with a lot of businesses around town too, which means the networking perks are quite great. It's a great stepping stone, but not one to move up in. I'm glad that I got out when I did, that's why my impression is still decent.

Cons

The pay sucks, bumping up to counter sales does not increase your pay much at all and the responsibility grows infinitely larger. It's fun juggling so many tasks and doing a good jobs "feels" great because your customers treat you well when you do. But that doesn't mean the company will. There really aren't any incentives to work harder and they don't really reward you for or with anything. The closest thing I got was a quite literal pat on the head. Management is disconnected as always and I have never experienced HR that was so poor.

Nepotism and bad management

Pros

Great discounts for employees, good benefits, good work conditions, supposed good reputation in the field, variety of parts and pricing that fits any budget

Cons

Favoritism, advancement for brown nosers, too many secrets, pay sucks, corporate style lends to entitlement for special few, way too many marketing initiatives in place at the same time, sales management team are cave dwellers...

Pros

Get to learn about parts, get to work overtime. Benefits....well you pay for them. Nothing out of the ordinary. Employee discount: cost + 20%

Cons

Long days, poor HR recruiting, recently lots of turnover. Lots of pressure to make more money yet they hesitate to hire more people even though they are raking in cash.
