      Working in a terrible environment

      Pros

      the people I worked with were nice. That is it and I gained grit and persistence.

      Cons

      The building was gross, mold infested, and a terrible dusty place to be. I got sick and they still wouldn't investigatee or clean or change anything about it. They were very boring and annoying to work for.

      Pros

      If you want to have a work place that supports your family and personal life outside of work, NAVFAC is a wonderful place to be.

      Cons

      Much of the old ways of the federal government are still evident, such as promotion on tenure and an inability or unwillingness to accept change as a good thing.

      Some flexibility on teleworking but a full remote position is DOA. Older viewpoints on teleworking.

      Cons

      Leadership doesn’t care about employees and addressing poor leaders. Toxic environment. Run.
