Pros

Great co-workers, at least the ones who aren't spies for a certain someone. Company is a money tree. Most of the Pros have been done away with. ..

Cons

Culture of fear propagated by a certain high ranking individual. Constantly changing rules regarding time off, vacation, insurance, etc. ***Potential new hires beware***: Don't believe them in telling you the "bonus" will make up for the lower salary they want to give you. They just had their second best year in the 111 year history, but the bonus was only .84%, far from the over 3% the previous year. The insurance is far from the "best around" they will sell you on. And if you're salary, get ready to be treated like hourly, until it's time to travel on weekends or go to doctor's appointments. You will be treated like a child. If these "Perks" sound good to you, by all means become an "associate" and member of the Nibco "family".

Pros

Paycheck. Those who are not upper management are wonderful people to work with.

Cons

The CEOs wife (who creates fake job titles for herself and sits on the executive board) has ruined any morale that employees used to have. They have trouble holding on to college recruits because of the horrible atmosphere she has created. She'll rub your face in her money any chance she gets and she goes on firing rampages for no reason which unfortunately she can do since you're an "at will" employee. Overall she's a horrible human being who uses fear to "manage". The emotional toll she puts you through of questioning every day you go to work if you're still going to have a job at the end of the day is not worth it. She also fires one sales trainee every year as a scare tactic to the others. Talk to people who have been there for many many years and ask them what they think of NIBCO and the common response is "... It's not what it used to be" and it's because of her and all the power she's been given just for being married to the CEO. If not being miserable and job security are of importance to you and you have an opportunity to work at corporate, I would highly suggest not taking the position.

Great co-workers; heartless upper management

Pros

Many of the current employees have been there for years and my guess is they are staying until they retire then they're GONE, unless upper management finds any possible reason to get rid of them before that happens. Best group of co-workers ever.

Cons

Upper management is simply ruthless (specifically the top level female executive). Best of luck to all who remain, you are saints.
