Pros

$17.00 hourly wage 12 hour days not great. For someone just starting security depending on your supervisor you could receive computer based training.

Cons

No upward movement. Pay is based on contract meaning after let's say two years. You will still be making $17.00 an hour. Revolving door for employees.

2 weeks on 2 weeks off, 12 hour days, 7 days a week. Food and lodging provided. Great benefits. You can live anywhere. They pay flights from Anchorage to work site. Lots of wildlife to be seen.

Cons

Work away from home. Arctic environment.
