NORY Response

Hello, this is the CEO of NORY. A team member shared this review with me, and I wanted to reply personally. I am sorry you had an upsetting experience at NORY. I fully acknowledge and respect your feelings towards the company and me. I am truly sorry. I agree that there are many areas I need to improve on. It is our top priority to create a positive culture, where our team members feel happy and proud to be part of. When assessing cultural fit, we set the bar high and assess each candidate's constructive and positive behavior more than their performance during the initial trial period. You mentioned that we "burned through" 9 Operations Managers, which is incorrect. In fact, that is more than the total number of Operations Managers we have hired since the inception of NORY. We verified the information with our team members including our current operations manager of 5 years. Regardless, we believe "burned through" is not an appropriate term to describe our relationship with past members. During the pandemic, our company had to make extremely difficult decisions. We greatly value every team member and our relationship with them. I am sorry you felt that you were expected to work longer and skip lunch break. I can't change your opinion, but there was no member who stayed past their work hours until 6:30pm at the office (hardly 6pm) in the past 12 months, and we strongly encourage every team member to take breaks beyond their lunch break. We also offer a flexible work schedule to accommodate personal preference of each member. I greatly appreciate your feedback. I believe there are many areas I need to work on. The facts I stated above are not to dismiss your feelings or to be defensive. It is important to state the correct information for others to form an objective opinion, and we are more than happy to verify the information with full transparency. Thank you.

Pros

if you are lucky the Co workers They hire basically anyone so I guess if you are one of those people that can fake a care for kids than do no form of help and risk kids this is great for you

Cons

They hire basically anyone! No experience needed, no love for kids just hit you’re applying to be a LT Turnover rate (no one really returns) The ceo does nothing but lie. I had the unique experience of having several interactions with him over the summer. You are expected to work an unreasonable amount all while there are some people that do nothing and scream at kids like an abusive parent CEO model is basically fun OVER safety. This summer alone people have gotten chemicals in there eyes, I heard from my friends at other sites that two site basically lost a kid not to add we basically hide covid outbreaks and the only time I’ve seen us follow NYC school regulations was when we thought a inspector was coming…IF YOU VALUE KIDS SAFTEY DONT WORK HERE
