Pros

I loved my coworkers but because they randomly reassign you to different locations despite asking them not to it’s hard to build a stable work community

Cons

Disorganized and chaotic, management makes you feel uncomfortable and always on edge

Pros

Some of the other teachers were very friendly. However, the management made all of the teachers want to leave.

Cons

Horrible treatment of workers, unsanitary conditions, no proper breaks. Basically the reason why people don’t last in this company.

Pros

I learned a lot while teaching at summer camps and afterschool programs. Here, kids are pretty advanced & LOVE to learn. I mean, where do you see 5yo kids getting excited about endo/exothermic reactions (I learned that concept in the 8th grade, and I could tell you it was not as fun) as they create their own magical chemical concoction. Also, NORY has a Great group of teachers - Lead teachers are very supportive and CARE about children. It feels special when working with the leadership and fellow teachers who put children before their comfort.

Cons

Not as many Brooklyn locations. I wish there are more locations in Brooklyn.

We can't agree more with you! We are amazed by how much NORY teachers care about their students. We feel so grateful to be able to work with such caring hearts. Allowing teachers to buy gifts for their students is a good idea! Thank you!
