Pros

The recruiting department has their own little culture, which is great, and the commission structure is nice. They have unlimited PTO, which people think is great, but it really benefits the company more than the employees. And the health benefits SUCK. We have one work from home day, with the exception of Mondays and Fridays (because they don’t have enough trust in their employees), unless you’re in the “boys club”, then you can take Mondays or Fridays as your one WFH day. There is a monthly luncheon and employee of the month day, which really is just a revolving thing, you don’t actually have to go above and beyond to get the award.

Cons

Leadership is a complete joke and the positive reviews I see on Glassdoor are comical. There is a common saying around the office, “the [Founder and Chairman] is on one, so watch out”. He will literally go around the office yelling at people and has fired people on the spot. I personally saw our controller being yelled and cursed at in front of the entire accounting department. You would think the CEO and Human Resources would be there as a buffer but nope, they are all on the same toxic team and are only there for their best interest. The list goes on and on. The stories I have would make you cringe. All the wrong people are being promoted, given raises, flexibility in their schedules, going on lavish company trips, overpaid, and favored. The honest, hardworking, loyal employees get shafted, overworked, micromanaged, underpaid, fired, and swept under the rug. (You all know who you are) If you’re looking for somewhere you can be innovative, creative, and appreciated this is not it. If you’re looking for a bottom line driven, toxic boys club where you’ll get stuck by just barely making good money, heavy favoritism, ridiculous non-competes, and bogus promotions (that’s my favorite) you’ll love it! Do yourself a favor, read between the lines and find the consistent negative reviews. That’ll tell you what you need to know.

Pros

I had previously worked in public accounting only so this job gave me good exposure to how different companies work and how to set up controls and procedures. Job had a lot of flexibility. Management worked with me to help me find success.

Cons

I received no training when I started. My first day at a client I had absolutely no idea what was expected or what to do. I figured it out. After a couple of years we did start having some occasional training sessions.

Pros

My manager was the friendliest and sweetest guy in the world. He took us, the whole team, to fancy places with really good food.

Cons

The CEO was terribly abusing his power and he was using it on poor employees who were just trying to have a good workday. No one understands what he's trying to achieve by viciously bullying everybody. He's crazy. It all boils down to this if you are looking for a place that will allow you to have a family and a work-life balance, look somewhere else.
