      I honestly cannot think of one

      I dealt with a lot of the “not what you know but who you know” situations at NPL. I was disrespected by field employees as well as teammates almost on a daily basis. Supervisors and director allowed field employees to commit various safety infractions and I was always told not to report my findings to prevent people from getting their friends in trouble. I was also cited for wearing what they called “Black Lives Matter paraphernalia” even though I wasn’t. Meanwhile people proudly wore Trump T shirts as well as other conservative messages to work everyday and never were even spoken to about it.

      Guaranteed work as long as you show up with benefits after 300 hrs per quarter

      Cons

      No support in the field extremely hard to be promoted low pay and doesn't promote within company very often

      Many leader in the organization play office politics. If you are not liked or they did not chose you, you are ostracized. Often times the actions and feelings of leaders can make you feel as if there are discriminatory undertones. No matter how hard you work there will never be development. HR is a joke and does not take action on legitimate claims of harassment and unfair treatment. If you are looking for a forward thinking organization that believes in cultivating talent and collaboration keep searching. You will not find that here especially if you look different from the majority.
