Pros

I stayed with the company for 19+ years so I liked it a lot - great, interesting coworkers and truly caring bosses. The leadership is open and honest in many ways. For many years we were doing innovative work, really punching about our weight. As a woman I believe I was always treated fairly. Great work life balance - I rarely worked more than 40 hours a week and never felt like I couldn't take all my vacation.

Cons

But bad decisions by top leadership pointing the team in too many directions. No one ever wants to stop doing anything but they want to keep adding more with no more people. Salaries aren't terrible but they are at the lower end of the pay scale for the type of work.

Pros

Lovely humans to work with in the office, with a strong dedication to the mission, doing their jobs well, and getting along with each other. Much pride company-wide in the work we do and the product we deliver. Competitive pay and benefits nationally.

Cons

Pay is not competitive for the location for on-site workers at the two main offices. Middle and upper management is out of touch with worker burnout and life/work balance, holding regular surveys that are purely performative with no intention of bettering the worker experience. Many workers feel trapped in their role with nowhere to grow or expand except to management. IT is extremely disempowered and mismanaged, causing confusion between larger tasks and helping fellow workers. HR is similarly out of touch with worker experience, recently changing their name to "people team" as a smokescreen to deflect general inefficiency.
