Pros
- The idea of the project is awesome - Co-workers were amazing - Some of the middle managers are really great, and are fighting for the vision
Cons
- 0 Scientific leadership. All of upper management has no involvement with science, most come from the aerospace industry and are out of touch with the community the project is meant to serve. - Horrible community relations. Most other ecologists have a very low opinion of the project as it's being implemented, and this is very demoralizing to have people put down your company at every conference you go to. - Upper management takes high salaries for themselves while giving small raises to scientists. - No career ladder for scientists. Oh, they talk about it all the time, but it was never implemented and seems like mostly lip service.
