Pros

I know the kinds of people who typically post on these boards - victims. These are the people who create their own misery in their position, then blame everyone else for it. That being said, the opportunity in the sales department is great! The people who do well work hard and take the opportunity that is given. The people who fail expect things to be given to them, then complain when they are not. I can't speak for other departments, but with some skill and hard work you'll be hard-pressed to find a better sales opportunity in the insurance industry.

Cons

The victims described above, but they usually see themselves out.

Pros

Entrepreneurial, performanced-based, results-focused culture Compensation is above market with unlimited earning potential Plentiful, highly-converting leads at no cost to agents Paid training Company pays for nationwide licensing A ton of ongoing coaching and training Very involved leadership at all levels Great perks - contests, dinners, tickets to sporting events High-energy, competitive, fun environment

Cons

The expectations are very high, and consequently, to be successful, agents have to put in long hours and work hard. It wasn't always this way, and as the culture changed to being more performance-based, those who were hired under lower expectations have had a hard time adjusting. This has created some negativity in the office from those agents and can sometimes be a distraction for those of us who were hired with the expectation of how the culture is today.

Pros

Forward-moving company with lots of positive change happening. Always growing. Company continues to make efforts to improve work culture. Leadership is receptive to new ideas if the ideas make sense. Company is full of intelligent and talented people. Good benefits. Compensation on par.

Cons

Like most places, some negativity and poor attitudes within the work force.
