Pros

Rewarding work; hands on; help people every day; learn something out of the ordinary

Cons

No solid retirement for employees hired after 2011; supervisors who never worked in the field; low starting pay; company culture makes it difficult to move to a different department

Pros

Benefits and compensation are comparable to other utilities. Opportunity for professional growth and skill development. Sense of pride in contributing to the safe and reliable energy delivery for millions of customers.

Cons

Depending on leader there can be career stagnation, which can be frustrating and cause some promising talent to seek opportunities elsewhere. Slow adaptation to new ways of working (seeing slow return to working in silos although company has converted to Agile ways of working.)
