Pros

Benefits are great. Co-workers make every day a joy.

Cons

Once I was pregnant, I was treated differently. When I spoke to my manager about it, they expressed concern about me going on maternity leave and not preforming the same (though nothing about my performance changed) After that, I had to work twice as hard to prove I was still competent. My boss actually said “it’s like you never had a baby. You’re excelling”. Other situations happened throughout my time there that showed upper management viewed people as commodities , not humans. There is no loyalty or compassion. It’s a great job with salary and benefit but there is a lack of humanity.

Pros

The work itself is engaging and rewarding to assist and care for the public. Providing people with warmth and comfort in their homes is a great feeling in itself.

Cons

Company is being managed into the ground. Employees, unions, and management are constantly at war and it creates a very hostile and stressful work environment.
