Pros

It is a good company with good benefits if you work for management and not the Union.

Cons

I got hired for the wrong job when I first came there in 5/2010. I am with the Union 97C which is very bad in supporting their people.

Pros

Stable and free from real world economic challenges; provides essential services to customers served. Some teams genuinely committed to making a difference

Cons

Leadership too reliant on outside consultants rather than investing in and backing inside talent. Advancement almost totally dependent on political maneuvering; not a meritocracy

Pros

Good salary and benefits. Generous vacation and holidays.

Cons

Management is very poor, good people are pushed out, while management hires good experienced folks but gives them no flexibility to implement improvements. Secondly, they can promise things at sign on, even hr and upper/executive mmgmt, but don't expect them to honor their words. Lots of backstabbing and misguiding.
