Pros

NYAP was a great place to gain experience in this field of work. Management helped me to get out of my comfort zone to become a better help to the children we served.

Cons

The job wasn’t always 9-5 but it came with the territory. It was ok.

Pros

Teamwork Training Meaningful Mission Compassionate Supportive Constantly Seeking Improvement Encourages Work life balance Constant Opportunities to Learn Always someone available to pitch in and help support youth and families. I truly can see that I am part of changing the world for the better.

Cons

The work is very emotionally demanding and requires commitment. If you aren’t organized and dedicated to the work and open to new challenges and change daily you will become overwhelmed easily. Individuals who struggle to put kids and families first work themselves out of the Team quickly.

Pros

You are able to work with wonderful children and families.

Cons

Management is the Cincinnati office often harass employees to do they do not feel is the best interest of children or families. The management does not respect or value their employees. The turnover right is extremely high and they cannot find new employees to fill vacant positions. The Cincinnati management only cares of themselves, money and looking good for the top administrators. The Cincinnati managers have created a toxic environment for their employees and the employees are afraid to speak up. The reputation of the Cincinnati office with the local Children Service agencies is terrible.
