I have never felt micro-managed or as though my work didn't matter; management is excellent at team-bonding and creating a family culture. This is also the most flexible job I've had to date. Management is super understanding on timing, sickness (physical or mental), working from home, and emergencies. They are always working to help out in any way they can, while maintaining a focus on results for the job.

Cons

Starting pay is not as competitive as it seems for the area, especially after taxes. Many degree-holding personnel are being paid similarly to those with very little extra experience and no degree. Apart from this, pay is not transparent nor are promotions. Promotions are done in secret and qualifications are based more on who has been around the longest rather than actual work done. Management is too focused on being nice than actually weeding out bad employees; they encourage bad behavior by not firing people and taking a "everyone has a little blame" approach rather than directly dealing with issues caused by specific people. It definitely doesn't help that a large amount of people in the office seem to be related to each other.
