Unrealistic Expectations

Pros

They give you your time off right away every year, you don’t need to accrue it

Cons

High volume of claims, constant changes with management and constant layoffs promote constant changes and re organization of company. High turnover with field property adjusters due to unreasonable workloads. The expectation is you work 60 plus hours a week with no overtime. Unfortunately 60 hours a week also won’t keep you afloat, which is the reason for high stress and high turnover. There is a reason they are always looking.

Pros

Absolutely loved the management and the team I worked with. The customer service was fairly easy as the policy coverages are wide enough that it is rare to give bad news.

Cons

Too much turnover, the team is always leaving due to a sometimes overwhelming workload. The Denver area gets hammered with hail claims every season which lingers throughout the year. I was unable to increase my salary for the exception of annual bonuses, I started with 0 experience and my salary reflected. However I excelled quickly but was only able to receive the annual salary bonus increase of whatever % was available. I felt I was not paid for my skill level in comparison to my peers.
